EXPERIENCE
The Unexplored Region Blessed with FUKU, Takarazuka Stay
While Arima Onsen and Kinosaki Onsen tend to be highlighted in the present, Takarazuka Onsen is a hot spring resort sure to attract inbound tourists in the years ahead. The origins of Takarazuka's name means 'land steeped in happiness', and there is a workshop for "lucky charms" given at Nishinomiya Shrine where the ancient Japanese god of good fortune, Ebisu is enshrined. The Takarazuka Onsen is a special plan that imbues travelers with FUKU (fortune) through accommodation, food, and various Takarazuka experiences bringing them happiness.
Highlights
- Check-in at Ryokan “Hotel Wakamizu”
You will be showered with a lot of good fortune in a room with a layout of lucky charms (lucky winnowers, rakes, bales, treasure ships, frames, and squares) and a Mizugoto (a water harp). Please also enjoy opening the original lucky bags placed on the table. We also recommend that you relax from the day's fatigue in the room bath with roses of auspicious red and other colors floating in the bathtub as soon as you arrive.
- Private FUKU Kaiseki Dinner
A kaiseki dinner is prepared with seasonal ingredients such as abalones and sekihan (red bean rice). Enjoy this in your private room, that is designed with respect to the concept of feng shui bringing good luck. A sake tasting set is also available for guests to compare a variety of sake from Hyogo and other regions.
- Boost Your Luck by Visiting Shrines and Temples in the Takarazuka area
As you take in the history of the city’s time-honored temples, we’ll make a stop at Kiyoshikojin. It is a temple dedicated to the god of fire, and as such, visitors are given hibashi (fire tongs).
- Tour and Experience of Making Lucky Charms That Bring “FUKU”(Option)
Visit a lucky charms workshop, and learn about their history, construction and cultural relevancy. Participants are encouraged to create original lucky charms here.
